Kim
Chigi is an artist and graduate of Rutgers University with a B.A in Visual Art. Her artistic skills include oil & acrylic painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography, film
and figure drawing.
During her studies
at Rutgers she focused primarily on painting and was involved in an ongoing apprenticeship at the Rutgers Center for Innovative Printmaking. The artist also assisted the master printer and developed a special interest in printmaking
and paper-making.
After graduation Kim
was awarded the Brett Taylor Painting Scholarship to the Aegean School of Art in Paros, Greece, where she further developed her skills in painting and printmaking.Travel plays a
significant role in the development of Kim's
artistic process. Over the past few years she has spent extensive time living & traveling all over the world in places such as Greece, France, India, Nepal, Thailand, Italy
and Malaysia, submerging herself in other cultures & philosophies.
The artist has displayed her paintings & prints in various group & solo shows in NY, NJ,
PA, CA and Europe.
